The last time I stopped by the post office in Lincoln Heights to pick up my mail, I’ve noticed the post office’s private parking lot next door has been closed (again) expect this time there’s a sign in front of its gate: property for sale call so and so for details.
Without access to the private parking space, it becomes a bit of a pain to find a spot to park on the street since space is limited depending on the time one arrives within the premises of the post office. And of course, once one finds a space, one has to walk or jog or dash out of one’s car, depending on how far one’s parked and how much time one give one’s self to delivery or receive one’s mail at the post office.
So the bottom line is the former post office parking space is up for sale and it isn’t clear whether the money earned or the percentage of the money earned will contribute back to the post office and how much money the lot is going up for. What’s visible is that there will be an empty closed gated lot from now on until there’s a new property owner.
